Leadcare Recruitment Achieves Exceptional Inspection Report

The Regulation and Quality Improvement Authority (RQIA) recently published Leadcare Recruitment’s Inspection Report, noting that the inspection ‘resulted in no areas for improvement being identified’ and highlighting areas of good practice and robust systems.

The RQIA registers and inspects a range of health and social care services, including Nursing Agencies, to ensure every aspect of care reaches the minimum standards laid down by the Department of Health and expected by the public.

The RQIA conducted an inspection of Leadcare Recruitment on Tuesday, 4th July 2023, with the Inspection Report published in September 2023.

The purpose of the inspection was to assess various aspects of our service, including quality of care, governance and management, and compliance with legislation and regulations.

Registered Nurse and Director of Leadcare, Stephen Ferguson, commented:

“We are delighted to share the results of our recent inspection, which reflects our unwavering commitment to deliver high quality, safe, and effective patient care through the provision of compliant, competent, and confident Agency Nurses.”

“This is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, who strive tirelessly to meet and exceed industry standards.”

During the inspection, the RQIA spoke with several of our Service Users and Agency Nurses, who commented:

“The communication with the service is good. The Manger always gets straight back if there are any issues, they are quick and on the ball. We have no concerns with the nursing staff provided. There are no issues with the Agency.” – Service User

“The nursing staff provided are good; they have a good attitude; they turn up on time. The communication with the agency is good. The nurses wear their name badges and are professional. No concerns.” – Service User

“The management have always been very supportive to me. The service is brilliant. My mandatory training is up to date. I am aware of the NMC requirements. I have completed my safeguarding training and I am aware of the reporting process regarding any concerns. The communication is good with the Agency.” – Agency Nurse

“The communication with the agency is great; any changes to policies and procedures are communicated out to all the staff. I am up to date with all my mandatory training and have completed additional training. I receive a notification one month before my training is due to expire, which is great. The Nurse Manager completed my Supervision and Annual Appraisal, and they regularly check my registration. The service is excellent and supportive, and they are flexible with my shifts. There is always a member of management available if I have any concerns; I have no concerns and I am so happy with the Agency.” – Agency Nurse

Registered Nurse and Director of Leadcare, Paul Strachan, said:

“We have always aimed to be an exceptional Nursing Agency; to be the recruitment partner of choice for a range of healthcare providers across Northern Ireland, and the Agency of choice for Registered Nurses.”

“This outstanding report reflects the hard work and dedication of every member of our team. We are immensely proud of what we have achieved and are committed to continuous improvement to ensure we remain at the forefront of healthcare services.”
