TERMS & CONDITIONS
Mandatory Training
1. Mandatory Training Requirements
Certain roles and assignments require completion of mandatory training, including but not limited to Basic Life Support (BLS) and Manual Handling (MH). Workers may be required to complete such training to satisfy regulatory, health & safety, insurance, or client-specific requirements.
Where training is arranged, funded, or subsidised by the Company, associated fees and deposit conditions shall apply.
Completion of training or payment of any training fees or deposits does not guarantee the offer of assignments or shifts.
2. Training Cost and Deposit
The cost of mandatory onboarding training is £50 per course, including Basic Life Support and Manual Handling. Training costs are partially subsidised by the Company.
To secure a training place, workers must pay a 50% deposit per course.
For clarity:
- Deposit for a single course: £25
- Deposit for both courses: £50
Training places are confirmed only upon receipt of the required deposit.
Deposits are non-transferable and non-assignable and may not be applied to other individuals, courses, or dates.
3. Additional Training Costs
Training courses outside the standard mandatory onboarding training, including but not limited to IV Cannulation and Administration of IV Medications, are non-refundable.
Payment for such courses is made to secure and reserve a training place and is not contingent upon attendance, cancellation, withdrawal, or non-completion by the worker.
Where training is successfully completed, certificates shall be issued upon completion, subject to full settlement of applicable fees.
Failure to attend or complete training shall not give rise to any entitlement to refund.
4. Training Attendance and Participation
Workers must attend training sessions punctually and participate fully.
The Company or training provider reserves the right to refuse entry or remove any individual who:
- Arrives late
- Fails to participate
- Disrupts the session
- Is deemed unfit to complete the training
Such circumstances shall be treated as non-attendance and shall not give rise to any refund entitlement.
5. Worker Cancellation and Rescheduling
Where a worker cancels or requests rescheduling of training, the Company reserves the right to determine whether previously paid deposits or fees may be credited toward a future session.
The Company is under no obligation to offer rescheduling, refunds, or credit.
Training bookings apply only to the scheduled date unless otherwise agreed.
6. Profile Activation and Fit for Work
A worker’s profile shall be considered active once the Company has:
- Completed required compliance checks
- Formally approved the worker
- Added the worker to operational systems
- Issued identification credentials where applicable
The official activation date shall be the date of written confirmation.
7. Training Deposit Refund Eligibility
Training deposits shall become refundable upon completion of one qualifying shift within four (4) weeks of profile activation.
A qualifying shift is one that:
- Is offered by the Company
- Is accepted and completed
- Has a scheduled duration of at least six (6) hours
Shifts shortened due solely to Company or client decisions shall remain qualifying.
“Reasonable shifts” are assignments consistent with the worker’s declared availability, role, and location preferences.
8. Deposit Refund Requests and Processing
Refunds are issued upon request only.
Refund requests must be submitted by email to:
compliance@leadcarerecruitment.com
Subject line:
“Training Deposit Refund Request”
Refunds are not issued automatically.
Upon receipt of a valid request, eligible refunds shall be processed within 72 hours via the original payment method unless otherwise agreed.
The Company shall not be responsible for delays caused by incorrectly submitted requests.
9. Circumstances Where Deposit Will Be Refunded
Deposits shall be refunded where:
- A qualifying shift is completed within timeframe
- No reasonable qualifying shifts are offered
- A confirmed shift is cancelled by the Company or client
10. Circumstances Where Deposit Becomes Non-Refundable
Deposits become non-refundable where the worker:
- Declines reasonable shifts
- Fails to attend shifts
- Cancels shifts without required notice
- Is removed due to misconduct or compliance breaches
Determinations shall rest with the Company’s sole and reasonable discretion.
11. Refund Eligibility Lapse
Refund eligibility shall automatically lapse if a refund request is not submitted within thirty (30) calendar days of the qualifying shift or eligibility event.
Requests received after this period shall not create any obligation on the Company and may be declined at the Company’s sole discretion.
12. Payment Disputes and Chargebacks
Workers must follow the Company’s internal resolution process for payment-related queries.
Initiating a payment reversal, chargeback, or dispute without first seeking resolution may result in:
- Suspension of the worker’s profile
- Recovery of associated administrative or financial costs
13. Training Certificates and Documentation
Certificates shall be issued following successful training completion.
Where fees remain outstanding, the Company reserves the right to delay administrative release of documentation. This shall not invalidate training completion.
Certificates are normally issued digitally. Replacement copies may incur administrative charges.
14. Force Majeure
The Company shall not be liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events outside its reasonable control.
Training may be rescheduled without refund obligation where such events occur.
15. General Provisions
The Company reserves the right to reasonably interpret and apply this policy in cases involving administrative error, exceptional circumstances, or suspected misuse.
Nothing in this policy shall limit statutory rights under applicable law.
